Iranian authorities are saying that a U.S. drone was shot down by its millitary because it was flying over its territory. U.S. officials admitted that one of their planes were lost but did not specify it was the drone Iran claims to shot down.

The two countries have been not friendly over the years. The fact that Iran captured one of the U.S. millitary plane in its border could provide Iran with an excuse to defend itself. Iran has been trying to develop nuclear weapons. It could use this as an excuse.
