Gary is excited to see Marny's mom who is close to him since Gary got married to her daughter but this time, Marny said her dad would come home alone. Gary's upset and nervous about having him over because he feels Marny's dad doesn't like him. Actually, that's proved to be true. He said to Gary's friends, Chris and Nick that he doesn't like him. Gary thinks that his father in law doesn't like him because he doesn't work while his daughter brings bread home.

While, Emily and Nick tried to set Chris up with someone they like at work and they competed that their girls are the one for Chris. So Emily and Nick arranged the same dinner and the same restaurant for Chris and Their girls. They set some point system to see who wins at the Chris dates. Touch, Eye contact and whatsoever are included in the point system. But Emily's friend was a kind of person who took pictures of breastfeeding her cat while Nick's co-worker didn't like Chris because Chris was too hairy.

Gary tried to show how hard it is to be a home-dad raising children to his father in law but he successfully worked that out. And he said he didn't like him because Gary didn't ask for him to marry his daughter.

After realizing that, Gary tried to ask him again to get permission to marry his daughter but he said no. Gary's upset when Marny barged into the living room with kids. Marny explained to her father that it was her not to ask his approval because she didn't like to be 'a goat' to be bought out by a man. And Marny's father realized how thoughtful Gary was cause Gary didn't reveal the truth and put her above himself.
