THE MIDDLE SEASON 3 EPISODE 9 RECAP

Frankie was worried that Sue couldn’t participate in any school activity. So she suggested to her that a musical play could be Sue’s only way of being involved in a club. One day, Frankie visited the school where Sue was practicing a song with her mates. Frankie unconciously repeated the song which got a song teacher’s attention. He asked her if she could be one of the singers in the musical. Frankie was happy to know she was good at something she enjoys. Sue was also pleased to get along with her mom in the play thinking the musical would be their own thing. 

Unfortunately a music teacher told Frankie to let her daughter off the stage because Sue had awful expressions while on the play. Frankie didn’t want hurt her daughter’s feelings but had to break the news to her. Sue was shocked to know she’s the only one who was off the stage and her mom would still be on the stage. Sue told her mom straight that she didn’t want her to play the musical. But Frankie who had been happy so much doing the musical didn’t want to quit. So she decided to sneak out of the house while letting her daughter know that she was going somewhere else like doing laundry. 

Not after much time, Axl ratted out on Sue that Frankie secretly went to practice the musical. Sue was upset and sat on a sofa when her mom arrived. Frankie got freaked out after she saw Sue’s ‘I know you all’ face. She did confessed to her daughter that she felt so pleased when she play the musical. Sue got to understand how much it meant for her mom. Then Franke got an idea about involving Sue in the play. Sue was told to shine a singer whenever a singer comes and shows up on the stage. That way, Mom and daughter could spend their own thing.

It would be so hard to decide when I was in that situation. Feeling needed at someplace is a good way of improving self esteem, I guess. So I also would find a way to get my son or daughter to be involved in some way like Frankie.
